## Background
Implantable devices like pacemakers require leads that are highly conductive but absolutely resistant to body fluids.
## The Challenge
Pure copper corrodes in the body. Pure nickel is resistant but has higher resistance. Alloys often compromise on one or the other.
## The Solution
Raytron Nickel Clad Copper (NCC) wire (27% Nickel).
- **Barrier**: The outer nickel layer forms a perfect barrier against the environment.
- **Core**: The copper core carries the signal with minimal resistance.
- **Process**: Our Clad & Weld process ensures no pinholes in the nickel layer.
